The
Brassy Apple shop has been closed for a week while I head out of town, to another state and enjoy this.....
I will be visiting family and attending a reunion. BUT - don't think the blog is taking a break! NO SIR!
August 1st kicks off my Back to "Cool" Series featuring a tutorial/idea each day to get ready for back to school - DIY style!
A new guest each day will share their idea from sewing up something to wear, creating a teacher gift, getting organized and MUCH, much MORE!
ALSO - I have slipped some giveaways in there too! (squeal) Really excited to debut those.

What have you been up to this Summer? Have you been traveling.......have you been relaxing......have you been running around crazy keeping the kids entertained?

Do you remember when you first started blogging? I don't feel that "old" at all in the blogging world myself but with the start of
my new Photo blog -
I am more than just.... - and some recent requests for swaps, features and giveaways, I thought it would be a fun to spotlight some new blogs!
With any blog, the main purpose is to share. Whether it is your photos, thoughts, experiences, creations, etc. we all just want be seen, heard, validated or even uplifted.
It takes time to build your readers and get the word out. SO - I put out a call on twitter and facebook for blogs that were 6 months old or younger. Here's the response I got! Are you looking for what's new out there? They'd love to have you stop by, leave a comment or even become their newest follower.

I once heard of a tradition that this woman would take a picture of herself with her children every year around Mother's day. Isn't that great? She has at least 1 great shot of her and her kids every year. What a fun way to look back on how everyone looked, dressed, hairdos, etc. (tee hee hee) You know what I am talking about.
In honor of Mother's day coming up in May, the theme for my
I AM MORE photo blog is Motherhood! Share your Motherhood moments and/or what Motherhood looks like today. You could be all poised and perfect like June Clever or show us how it is - real life style! just capture this moment.
OR - share you and your mother. Maybe it's a past photo of when you were young, maybe it's current photo showing you are still her little girl but now all grown up.
