DisplayLink and Targus Partner to Bring SuperSpeed USB Virtual Graphics Peripherals to Market

DisplayLink announced today a technology partnership with Targus that will bring to market some of the world's first SuperSpeed USB-based wired and wireless connectivity and display peripherals.

With this partnership, Targus announced its plan to leverage the highly-integrated feature set provided by the DL-3900 chip and software platform.

―More HD monitors, faster video performance, multi-channel audio and Ethernet connectivity are only a sampling of the great features the DisplayLink 3900 provides,‖ said Carolyn Perrier, vice president of product management, accessories at Targus. ―Adding these robust technologies to our popular line-up of USB 2.0 and now USB 3.0 virtual graphics peripherals will only increase their productivity and entertainment value.‖

DisplayLink Ships 4 Millionth Chip and Announces Downloads of 3 Hundred Thousandth App from the Apple Appstore for its iPad Extended Display Solution for PC’s

DisplayLink® today celebrated the milestone of shipping its 4 millionth chip, just 10 months after announcing it had crossed the threshold of delivering 3 million USB virtual graphics chips.

DisplayLink also announced more than 3 hundred thousand downloads of its Apple iPad® app. The app turns the iPad into an extended monitor for a Windows PC, linking without cables to a standard WiFi router.
