Apple has posted their sales figures for the first day of iPhone preorders. Apple sold a record 1 million iPhones on just the first day. In comparison, the iPhone 4 sold 600,000 iPhones on the first day.
AT&T had previously posted a record 200,000 iPhone preorders for the first day, and it seems as though sales of the Verizon and Sprint phones were more popular. Looks like being available only on AT&T was seriously holding the iPhone back in the past.
Last year, the iPhone 4 sold 1.7 million units on launch day. Could the iPhone 4S beat that sales figure too?
