Facebook for iPad Released

Facebook has finally released their iPad app through a universal Facebook app (it works on the iPad as well as iPhone/iPod Touch). Not only is there a new interface for iPad users, but iPhone and iPod Touch users will also get that same interface.  I haven't had enough time to test whether or not it still retains all the usual quirks and issues of the original Facebook app, but I can say the interface at least looks cleaner.

Facebook has also improved photos, security, search, and general navigation. It's worth updating, especially since it's free. Although, I did have a number of problems right off the bat, uninstalling the app and reinstalling it seemed to do the trick. You may want to make sure that the app isn't running before downloading the update, as this can cause problems with some apps. With any luck, Facebook will fix that issue in future updates, but for now, be sure Facebook isn't running when you install the app.
