Studio 5 gave me a challenge and I took it! They gave me this inspiration picture and told me to run with it!
I've never really knocked anything off (that I can remember) and when I found out that the price was $150.00 dollars I wanted to create an EASY way to make something with a similar look and function!
(and I made mine for under $35.00!)

Spring Egg-A-Labra
materials:
1 flower pot (used 6.5 wide at top by 5 inches high)
circle or square precut wooden piece
1 small condiment cup (plastic - found in kitchen aisle $0.80)
wooden dowel - 7/8" by 22 inches high
8 - 6" black scrolled plant bracket (home depot)
16 - 1/2" black screws
9 small glass candle cups (walmart $0.60)
drill/angle headed screwdriver
styrofoam (I used a 5x5" cube)
moss
strong craft glue
hot glue
White/cream paint
Black paint
Brown paint/stain/or ink
measuring tape
accessories - votive candles, easter eggs, flowers, small hanging picture hangers
Step 1: Assemble the base. I love the wooden fluted base and decided to create the same look very inexpensively. Glue the pot, condiment cup and wood base together. Let dry.
Paint white/cream or another color if desired. Let dry. Distress the base by sanding some of the edges. Rub with stain or watered down brown paint or ink and wipe off excess. Let dry.
Step 2: Cut your dowel to be 22". Paint the dowel black and let dry.
Step 3: Assembling the candle-abra piece. Mark 3 inches from the bottom of the dowel (this is how far you the dowel will go into the styrofoam once in the pot. From that mark I measured 9" up - make a mark. This is where the 1st row of metal brackets will be placed. Then measure 7 inches up - make a mark. This is where the 2nd row of metal brackets will be placed.
Spacing 4 brackets evenly around the dowel, align the 1st one with the top of the mark. Drill into place. Place the other 3 so they make an X or CROSS when finished.
Repeat the same process for the 2nd row BUT offset the brackets so they line up in between the X or CROSS of the 1st row.
**if your screws didn't have a black head on them hit them with a bit of paint to blend in. Let dry.**
Step 4: Assembling the entire piece.Cut your styrofoam as necessary to fit inside your pot so it has a tight, snug fit. Add glue if necessary or desired. I also used my dowel to pre-punch (optional) a hole into the middle of the styrofoam block 3 inches down.
Inset the dowel or push it into the styrofoam and secure in place using glue. Ley dry.
Add moss around the bottom of the dowel covering the styrofoam completely. You can use whatever type/color of moss you like or add another material like shredded paper, etc.
Attach the 9 glass votive candle cups to the candle-abra with a strong, clear adhesive glue. Let dry.
DONE! Fill with candles and flowers. Use the scrolls and hooks to hang small wreaths, photos, vintage images, easter eggs or items for whatever the occasion is!
