Eddy Cue Accepts Posthumous Grammy for Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was posthumously awarded a Grammy for the huge contribution he had on the music industry with the release of the iPod and iTunes. In the video above, Eddy Cue, Apple VP of internet software and services.

Apple also won a technical Grammy in 2002 for the iPod. Now, the impact he had at Apple for the music industry has been recognized. Unfortunately, however, that this recognition only came after his death. Music was always very important to Steve, he would have really appreciated this award.

Steve Jobs Awarded Posthumous Grammy, Statue in Hungary

The Recording Academy announced this week that Steve Jobs would be the recipient of a posthumous Grammy. The award will be the Special Merit Grammy Award.

They haven't yet announced the reason behind the award, but it's most likely for the drastic revolution the iPod and iTunes had on the music industry.

Also, a statue of Steve Jobs was revealed at Graphisoft, an architectural software company. Apple had contributed computers and money to help Graphisoft get it's start in the 1980s. Steve Jobs discovered the company at a conference in Germany. Apple helped them when they were a small company in a (then) communist country. For that, they've always appreciated Steve Jobs, and decided to create a tribute at their office.

There's no doubt Steve Jobs had an effect on many people's lives. And, for more than one company, even helped them get off the ground.
