Band One Like Son has created an entire studio-quality album with nothing but iPhones. Well, I shouldn't say "nothing". They did use instruments, vocals, and accessories like the GuitarJack and Ampkit Link to connect their instruments to the iPhone. Other than that, all recording and editing was done on an iPhone. That's quite impressive, both for the iPhone and the band who was able to use it so well. The quality is actually great. You can check it out on their website, as well as buy the full album. The digital album is $7 if you buy directly from their site, $9.99 if you buy from iTunes. Of course, iTunes also splits the album up, so you can download the specific songs you'd like.

Steve Jobs was posthumously awarded a Grammy for the huge contribution he had on the music industry with the release of the iPod and iTunes. In the video above, Eddy Cue, Apple VP of internet software and services.
Apple also won a technical Grammy in 2002 for the iPod. Now, the impact he had at Apple for the music industry has been recognized. DJ Turntable is a musical Qt based application for Symbian^3 and Symbian S60v5 based touch screen mobile phones. Play the looping sample with a realistic turntable. The sample can be scratched with finger, played faster, slower and backwards. The speed of the disk can be adjusted with the speed slider, the default 1x speed can be obtained by double clicking the speed slider knob.
DJ Turntable offers Cutoff and Resonance to alternate the sample in real time. The knobs are rotated by moving the finger up and down on top of them. Use the sample selector to change the sample that turntable is playing by selecting the desired sample from the directory view. 8 bit unsigned, 16 bit unsigned and 32 bit float uncompressed wav-formats are supported.
The application opens the last selected sample on startup. Use the default sample button on the right under the back button to reset back to the default sample. Play and edit the drum beats. There are three predefined beats which can be played and edited but the edits are not stored. The application requires Qt framework to be installed on your mobile. The application might not work properly on Symbian S60v5 based mobiles (Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, 5530 XpressMusic, N97, N97 Mini, X6, 5228, 5230, 5233 and 5235) as it is developed specifically for Symbian^3 based mobiles (Nokia N8, E7, C6 and C7). MobiTubia is a cool Online/Offline FLV player application for Symbian S60v5 touch screen mobiles. It's also a YouTube portal application i.e. you can play YouTube videos directly using this player. Dred Scott doesn't have much to his name. But what he does have got him noticed by a music producer. Dred Scott performs his music at the 16th Street outdoor mall in Denver. He's never performed for a large audience, and at the end of every day, he'd retire to the streets of Denver. We have had a wonderful week of beautiful warm weather here - FINALLY! I even got some sun and "color" on my winter skin. :) It's amazing what a little sunshine and warmth can do for someone's attitude and outlook.

Spring and Summer always bring out the COLORS too don't they? Not only do the flowers and trees start bursting with colors but fashion/wardrobe seem to follow as well. I've been combining some really fun colorful patterns and sewing up aprons this last week. More to come to my shop next week!

Because I pop on and off my computer (and blog) all day I figured it was time to add alittle music here! Makes it alittle more personal and fun for me! BUT I created the playlist on the right to be activated only when you click the play button. I end up reloading the page so many times and jumping around that the first song kept reloading over and over and frankly....................it was getting a bit annoying. LOL!!!
