Confession.....

Diposting oleh fawaid on Jumat, 26 Desember 2008

Confession #1 : Alright, I have a confession to make. As of about 10:30am this morning - 99% of my christmas decorations were boxed up and put away until next year.................and it feels so GOOD! I love to "de-clutter" the house after Christmas. And I mean right after Christmas. *snicker*

Organizing, redecorating, dusting the nooks and crannies, reagganing the furniture and making my space feel "clean" again is my favorite way to ring in the New Year. The kids don't seem to mind. Maybe because they think it's normal since I have always done that. So what about you? Do you think I'm crazy???/ Do you take Christmas down right away or do you bring the New Year in with your Christmas decorations still up?

Confession #2: I am smitten with this little guy. He is 7 weeks old now and we all just can't get enough of him. He was the best Christmas present we could have gotten this season. Don't you just want to give him a squeeze? And he is the best snuggler right now too.

Confession #3: I've been eyeing these fabrics - Andalucia - from my Friend Patty Young for a week or so now. They just been sitting there in my online shopping cart. Why so long??? Not sure but I'll be buying some up today! So look for new items in my store with these HOT new fabrics in 2009!!! :)

Well that's probably enough "confessing" for today! Have a great one!

Fabric overload!

Diposting oleh fawaid on Jumat, 22 Agustus 2008

I have too much fabric! Can you really ever have too much????........................... I guess in this case, I am saying YES!!!! My "fabric eyes were bigger than my stomach" months ago when I ordered SOOOO much and now I find I don't have the time, energy or desire to sew with what's left! ha! must be the pregnancy ;)

SO my loss, YOUR GAIN!!!
I would love to ship some fabric your way at a steal of a price! Most of these fabrics will cost anywhere from $7.25 - $9.50 at the store but I would really love to ship them out quickly. (aka - cheaper price!)

Here's a few instructions before we get started:

1. must order in whole yard increments only
2. payment only by paypal
3. I can fit up to 7 yards in a flat rate priority envelope for cheaper shipping. (we all love that don't we)
4. when it's gone............it's gone!
5. email me if interested: brassymeg@gmail.com
please include:
name of fabric and yardage you want
your paypal address so I can invoice you
(if other than USA please specify where)
Payment is due within 24 hours please

Once I recieve your request - first come first serve - I will invoice you with shipping cost. Once I receive a cleared payment I will ship it out with 1-2 business days. Sound good?
--------------------------------------

Here's what I have available:
POD POSEY - border (michael miller)
price: $5.25 a yard
8 yards available

PINK CORIANDER - (Amy Butler Belle collection)
price: $5.25 a yard
0 yards available - SOLD OUT

OLIVE ACANTHUS - (Amy Butler Belle Collection)
price: $5.25 a yard
0 yards available - SOLD OUT

these are some of my favorite fabrics and colors but I'd rather ship them off to a "good home" then have them sit here un-used and "unloved" any longer............ ;)

I will try my best to keep the yardage available on each fabric updated. Happy shopping!

Let's start the party! - quilt market day 1

Diposting oleh fawaid on Selasa, 20 Mei 2008

Wow! Ok, I thought the whole weekend was overwhelming but now trying to break it down and figure out which details/events to blog about is just as hard! LOL

But because I love to blog so much, you'll probably get more details than you bargained for! Brace yourselves, here we go!

My roomies - the BoutiqueCafe media gang. (L to R Daria, Me, Amelia)

Here's the scoop on how I got to Market. Daria, the fabulous host of the popular podcast, Boutiquecafe, was going to cover the event and needed a production crew. I used to work for Daria at Boutiquecafe so she invited me along as her production assistant and Amelia was there as the official photographer. We had special badges with big green ribbons on them that said "media". We got alot of attention (stares, whispers, comments, etc) carrying around a camera, cables, microphone, etc. It was a fun change to be on the media side of things.

(L to R - Me, Heather Bailey, Daria)

After a quick lunch we headed to market to help Sandi Henderson set up her booth. She'd asked us to stop by and help if we could. We helped put together a few items but other than that I don't think we were much help but we did Oooh and awww over her stuff alot! *snicker* As we were on our way out we spotted Heather Bailey from across the room. Her striking features are hard to miss! She was so gracious to take a moment to chat with us and snap a photo. (Look at how similar she and I are dressed - color of top and circle necklace. ) We also met her very good friend Beth of epbdolls.

Then it was off to the Fabric 2.0 party hosted by Kathy Miller and Caroline. The idea was to get bloggers, designers and other fun people in the biz together. I would say it was a success!! Lots of familiar and new faces in the crowd and a great personal way to meet up before hitting the showfloor the next day. I have several pics to share as it was the first time seeing some friends again in about a year and meeting lots of new ones too! Pick a favorite song, turn it up and enjoy the slide show!

There are too many names to "drop" but if you need to know who's who, just ask! Met Joel Dewberry there and he is SOOO nice!!!! You can find more fun about the fabric 2.0 party on Carolines blog and Patty's blog too!
