Feeling Kitschy.......

Diposting oleh fawaid on Minggu, 13 September 2009

The Kitschy Corset Apron pattern is just about finished - YEAH! It will first be available in ebook format, followed soon by the printed version. I have some sneak peeks from my photographer that I wanted to share plus the adorable aprons that my wonderful pattern testers created!

First up is Amy from Priddy Creations. She created this apron in the swanky fabric line - Summer Soiree - from Paula Prass. I love the touch of zebra on the corset top!

Then we have the Karen of Venezie Bags. Love the striking combo of the orange and pink and the large button too!

And my lastly is Christie from The Secret Stitch Club. Did you notice the bottom ruffle has two colors? Love how she combined them!

HUGE thank you to my Testers! They helped me polish up the pattern and gave me some great suggestions so that hopefully it will be even more user friendly than before!

And here's a few sneaky peeky's of the photos from the photographer. I should be getting all the photos in a few days. Once I have the cover completed I will be able to release the ebook and get this pattern sent off to the printer!

Could the model be any cuter! so perfect for this apron. I am DYING to see all the photos - are you? ha ha ha.........I will anxiously be awaiting the arrival of the mail each day until it comes. Make it a great day..........

GREAT question......

Diposting oleh fawaid on Rabu, 15 April 2009

I received a great question from an interested customer and thought it would be a good idea to share with everyone else. :)

Question: "I am a newbie to using patterns. How does an ebook work? I want to purchase the LUCY pattern, but am not sure if I need to go to a Kinkos to enlarge?"

Answer: Great question huh! I hadn't thought about it since I am very familiar with ebooks and what they are, how they function, etc but it hadn't occured to me that some might not be so sure.

In the Lucy Ebook Pattern most the main (large) pieces for the apron you will construct. I provide illustrations, diagrams, measurements, etc and help you step by step. Some of the smaller pattern pieces are provided and you will simply print off, cut out and use.

An ebook requires a bit more "effort" on the customer's end. Someday there will be a printed version of the Lucy Apron with full size pattern pieces to buy. I had several customers "want it now" so that is why I did the ebook first.
--------------------

Does that help? hopefully.......

I thought I would share a few more "Lucy" photos. There were several photos I just loved from Susan , but had to pick only one for the cover! hummmm..........it's so hard to narrow it down...................

Didn't she do a great job? If you aren't up for sewing your own Lucy apron - I would be happy to send one your way..........

I'd like you to meet.......Lucy

Diposting oleh fawaid on Kamis, 09 April 2009

I am so excited for you to meet "her" because you helped name her! I never anticipated that it would take so long to actually wrap it and let you know, but it did and I apologize. forgive me?

~The LUCY apron - fun, witty and casual. For the woman that doesn't want to sacrifrice her sense of style. ~

I completely *heart* this picture. I have to give a big shout out to Susan for the photos. I have worked with her on several occasions and she never disappoints! I had a really hard time choosing which photo to use but in the end I loved the mood, the coloring and how the model is "framed" by the window. (you know how I love frames!) What do you think? Do you want to see some of the other photos?

and OH my gosh I need to award the winner! ahem, Lucy over at The Dizzled Apple suggested the name "little lucy" which is what gave me the idea and the one that stuck! It just seemed to fit! Congratulations to her! She will be receiving a "Lucy" apron in the mail.

Thank you all again for helping to name the apron! It was alot of fun and I am pleased as punch at how it has all come together!
