Add some love to your decor for Valentine's day quickly, easily and very inexpensively. I have come up with these 2 different ideas to get your creativity kick started!

1. Heart Speciman Art
materials:
8x10 frame
scrapbook paper (background)
scrapbook paper (hearts)
scissors
pencil
Hot glue
ruler (optional)
Step 1. Trace and cut a piece of scrapbook paper for the background using the glass from your frame as a guide.
Step 2. Divide up the background into 3 even sections using a ruler and lightly drawing a pencil line. Or you can just eyeball it
Step 3. Fold one edge of the paper over and create one heart. Cut out and use it as a template to cut out 15 total.
Step 4. Place a line of glue down the center folded outside seam and then place onto 1 of the lines of the paper. Put them as close together as your liking. Repeat across the entire paper.
Step 5. Erase lines if necessary. Put the paper into the frame with the glass removed and display!
think of all the fun possibilities for different holidays through out the year! :)
2. Framed Hearts
materials:
5x7 Frame (remove glass)
Scrapbook paper - background
1 pk of heart picks ($1 store)
Knife
Pencil
Scissors
Glue
Step 1. Trace and cut a piece of scrapbook paper for the background using the glass from your frame as a guide.
Step 2. Use Scissors to cut of the stick off the bottom of 2-3 Heart picks
Step 3. Cut the heart in half with a sharp craft knife creating 2 flat pieces.
Step 4. Arrange the hearts in any pattern - lining them up by 3's, staggered, in 2 rows, etc.
(or create an "I love you" piece of artwork by using just one heart - pictured lower right)
Step 5. Glue them into place, let dry and place into the frame and display!
