Quad-Core, HD iPad 3 Coming Soon

It's the time of the year for iPad rumors, and they're coming in as expected. Developers poking around in the latest iOS 5.1 beta found references to quad core processors for the iPad and iPhone. The reference was to a sting with the text "/cores/core.3" referring to the processor. In the past, "/cores/core.1" meant dual core, and "/cores/core.0" was for single core processors.

It's believed that the iPad 3 will be released in March, with improved cameras, and an HD screen. The form factor isn't expected to change much, although it could become 1mm thicker.
