Samsung prepare for Apple 3 million displays

Company Samsung will put 3 million displays for Apple iPad. The contract between the companies will make Samsung the second largest supplier of displays for the new device after LG Electronics, writes edition AppleInsider referring to The Korea Times.

The transaction sum: 240 million dollars, informs an anonymous source of the Korean newspaper. Thus, one display with a diagonal of 9,7 inches and the touch interface will manage Apple in $80US. We will notice, that LG Electronics delivers displays for iPad under the same price.

In January, 2009 Apple has signed with LG the long-term agreement on delivery of displays for the sum of 500 million dollars. Later the agreement sum has been increased to 800 million and it became known, that it is a question of 10 million displays for iPad.

Samsung loves iPhone 4G

Representatives Apple and Samsung have not commented on agreement undertaking and have not informed terms of delivery of displays. However representative Samsung has commented on other transaction with Apple. According to the newspaper, Samsung becomes the supplier of liquid crystal displays for new generation iPhone 4G.

Steve Jobs has presented iPad in the end of January, 2010. The device will go on sale in the USA on April, 3rd. The younger model with Wi-Fi and 16Gb the built in flash-memory will manage to buyers in $499US.
