My older sister has always loved to throw a party and she throws a good one. This past weekend we collaborated on a Bedtime Stories Baby shower. It's such a fun theme - who doesn't LOVE children's books!
Hopefully in sharing the idea, you will get excited to throw a party of your own!
Every event needs atmosphere to pull off a theme. In true Amy Atlas style there was a large backdrop created to look like a night style. We pushed the table up against the wall and it was dressed to look like a bed.
We hung varying sizes of stars from fishing line around the outsides of the backdrop for a fun whimsical touch....
Sleeping pics of the guest of honor plus a couple of stuffed animals and new jammies for the baby. I love to use gifts as part of the decor that the guest gets to take home when the party is over.
What to serve? Why cookies and milk of course! what is better right before bedtime....
Several different kinds of cookies were home baked and displayed in glass jars.
Your choice of white or chocolate milk poured into these great containers and kept cold in a fun ice bucket.
I had to throw a bit of "Megan" flair into my gift so of course I layered up some book pages in the shape of a heart to create a card for my gift.
Take home gift? Gotcha covered! Provide small cello bags labeled "midnight snack" with a twist tie. Have the guests fill a bag in their way out!
I hope you enjoyed this post! I have another fun party idea to share with you next week!
