Dear Apple: Where's My Google+ App?

The Google+ beta has been out for a while now, and it's proven to be a very clean, easy to use social networking site. The biggest problem I have with it though? There's no iPhone app. Google submitted the Google+ app to the App Store almost two weeks ago, and the app hasn't been approved yet. What's taking Apple so long?

Could it be that they're reluctant to release a competitor's app? Hesitant to release an app for a beta program? For whatever the reason, Apple hasn't approved the app yet. We're waiting on Apple here, not Google. If you're using iOS, you can use the mobile version of Google+, and you can add the mobile site to your home screen through Apple's + button at the bottom of the Safari app (not to be confused with the + in Google+). But the web app isn't the same. It doesn't have notifications, and isn't as smooth and easy to use as you'd expect a Google+ app to be. 

Hopefully Apple approves the app soon. Now that I've used the Google+ beta, I'm looking forward to it gaining in popularity.
