Chalk paint - Jenerally Speaking

Hi! I'm Jennifer from Jenerally Speaking which was once called Life with the Lebedas. I'm really excited to be apart of the Brassy Apple Summer Fun!! 

I'm a stay at home Mom of two very active toddlers - two and four. My girls are constantly wanting to 'go do something' but as a Mom on a budget I'm always trying to finding fun ways to teach my children we can be creative in our own home!

My girls and I love making our own Sidewalk Chalk Paint!

For only $5, you can purchase all the ingredients unless you already have them in your pantry!

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp of Cornstarch (per color)

2 Tbsp of Water (per color)

Food Coloring

Tablespoon

Paint Brushes that your prepared to throw away

cups for color

First, add your 2 Tbsp of cornstarch to your cup. Then 2 Tbsp of water and 6-8 drops of food coloring and mix away!! 

Note: It's a lot easier to mix when you add the cornstarch first.

I let my girls have fun measuring it out. If they add a little more of one ingredient, it won't hurt anything. :)

Then give them a paint brush you don't mind trashing at the end of their activity

Harder tipped brushes work the best.

The colors go on so bright ...

and they dry with a chalky look!
