Spotify Launched Today

Spotify launched today in the US. If you'd like, you can sign up for one of the paid accounts, or sign up to be placed on a list for the free version. Unfortunately, Spotify isn't allowing people to sign up for free accounts on their own, instead, they're sending invites to people who showed interest prior to the release (by putting their email in Spotify's list).

Didn't get your invite yet? Don't feel bad, many people haven't (including myself). Spotify will eventually get to everyone, but it seems they're trying to stagger the release. Perhaps they thought that the server traffic would be too high on the first day if they allowed everyone to sign up at once.
