European Smartphone Buyers Want iPhones

A recent poll of Europeans looking to buy a new smartphone showed that 40% were planning on going with an iPhone. Comparatively, 19% want an Android phone, 17% want a BlackBerry, and 15% are looking at a Nokia phone. The study polled 5,000 consumers and 2,250 employees in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the U.K.

The iPhone has made some big gains in the market, especially in the US. It looks like even before the launch of the iPhone 5, people are interested in getting a new iPhone.
