DisplayLink Ships 4 Millionth Chip and Announces Downloads of 3 Hundred Thousandth App from the Apple Appstore for its iPad Extended Display Solution for PC’s

DisplayLink® today celebrated the milestone of shipping its 4 millionth chip, just 10 months after announcing it had crossed the threshold of delivering 3 million USB virtual graphics chips.

DisplayLink also announced more than 3 hundred thousand downloads of its Apple iPad® app. The app turns the iPad into an extended monitor for a Windows PC, linking without cables to a standard WiFi router.

“Surpassing the 4 million mark in ICs shipped demonstrates the mainstream reach of our technology with customers and end users who want to leverage multiple displays with ease and affordability,” said Dennis Crespo, DisplayLink’s executive vice president of marketing and business development.
