One of the cool features of the iPhone camera is that it can easily and quickly take HDR photos. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range, and it means the camera takes two photos, one that is overexposed and one that is underexposed. The iPhone then combines these two photos into one. The end result, is a photo that has incredible detail, even in dark or very bright areas of the photograph.
On iOS ,the both the HDR version and a standard version of the photo are saved. This allows you to compare the two, and decide which one is best. However, you may not need or want this functionality. Apple's got you covered. Just go into settings, tap photos, and set "keep normal photo" to off. It's that simple. Now you don't have to worry about HDR photos taking up twice the space on your iPhone. Now go take some amazing photos with that iPhone.
