Thought your Windows Phone was immune to tracking scandals? Think again. Microsoft is currently involved in a class action lawsuit over tracking woes. Apparently, Microsoft collects location data from users, even if they opt out of location features. Photos taken with a Windows 7 phone can send off location data to Microsoft.
Microsoft
previously stated that they only store user information when the location is requested for an app. However, with location settings off, this shouldn't happen. Has Microsoft deceived customers here, or are consumers simply paranoid about GPS tracking from our phones?
