Avoid Speeding Tickets with iOS Apps

The Koenigsegg CC, record holder for fastest speeding ticket in the world: 242MPH, in Texas
I know how you feel. Speed limits are just too low. Cars have improved greatly since the speed limits were first set. The original speed limits were based on the stopping distance of a few cars. But today, cars can stop a lot quicker thanks to improvements in braking technology. Cars can also handle a lot better, and they're far safer. And yet, speed limits haven't changed at all.

To add insult to injury, multiple studies have been done, revealing that highways with higher, or no speed limit, are actually far safer than leaving the highways at the current speeds. That's why Texas recently raised the maximum speed limit in the state to 85 mph. I can honestly say that 85mph is safe enough on many roads that currently have a speed limit around 55mph.

So why do we still have speed limits? Change happens very slowly in this country, especially when it's against conventional wisdom. Low speed limits actually create more dangerous roads, who would have expected that?

If you'd rather drive a bit faster, you should arm yourself against law enforcement. Police use radar, laser, aircraft, timing, laser traps called ENRADD, and speed cameras to write tickets. It doesn't make sense that you should go out on the road without some preparation, now does it? Before, this meant buying a radar detector. Modern radar detectors aren't too expensive, and can pick up on the two most common forms of speed detection: radar and laser. But what about the others? Apps. The answer to so many questions. For the iPhone, there are two main apps you can use.: Trapster and Fuzz Alert. Each one has it's pros and cons, so which should you use? Hopefully, I can help.
